Upcoming Healthy Living Workshop, review details here..
Would you like to feel better and do more of the activities you enjoy? Would you like to make changes around diet or exercise but you don’t know where to start? Do you live with chronic pain, fatigue, or difficult emotions? Would you like to learn strategies for better managing your medications and communicating with your doctor?
Dealing with a health condition can be difficult, but you don’t have to go it alone. Guided by trained, local leaders Susan Era and Charlie Seltzer, Healthy Living Workshops let you learn in a safe, supportive group of people with health challenges—some like yours—to share and solve problems together.
This program empowers people to live well while dealing with conditions like diabetes, heart disease, arthritis, lung disease, and other chronic health issues. You will develop new tools and skills that break the “symptom cycle,” to feel better, and do more of the activities you love and enjoy.
Developed at Stanford University, the curriculum is a time-tested, proven way to get a handle on your health condition and feel better.
Topics covered include:
- Managing symptoms
- Increasing strength and stamina through better fitness
- Problem solving
- Understanding medications
- Making informed treatment decisions
- Goal setting
- Dealing with difficult emotions
